MOUNTAIN GREEN, Utah (AP) — Utah authorities have found the wreckage of a small plane that left the Mountain Green Airport and crashed about nine miles away.

Officials say the plane was spotted by a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter about 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Morgan County Search and Rescue units are en route to the scene.

The Utah Civil Air Patrol says the Cessna 210 took off from the airport Thursday night and was bound forWyoming.

It wasn't immediately known if the plane had any passengers.

Morgan County Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Lee says the plane was spotted in a 250-foot ravine about nine miles northeast of the Mountain Green Airport.
