A woman has been sentenced for her role in robbing banks and credit unions in Wyoming and Utah.

Thirty-three year old Mindy Lawrence was sentenced in federal court, to 87 months in prison, followed by 3 years of probation, after pleading guilty to one count of aiding and abetting with an armed robbery.

Lawrence and 38-year old James Thain were arrested after a January robbery, at the Bank of the West branch, across the street from the Eastridge Mall in Casper.

They were also accused of similar bank robberies in Rock Springs and in Laramie.

Lawrence has been ordered to pay part of almost $33,000 in restitution.

Thain has pleaded guilty to similar charges connected to this case and is waiting to be sentenced.
