The Town of Mills is getting ready to celebrate the season with their first Mills Summer Fest on Saturday, July 28th. It will be held on the riverfront on Wyoming Boulevard across from Town Hall from noon until 5:00 p.m. and they have a full slate of family activities, according to a release:

"The day will include tons of fun activities including music from DJ Nyke, performances from Vibes, multiple bounce houses and obstacle courses, face painting, visits with princesses and super heroes, emergency and town vehicles, yard games including cornhole, mini-racecars, hands-on crafts, and much more."

Organizers say there will be many town officials on hand to answer questions and share information, including information on the new Community Services Division. Wyoming Life Flight will have a helicopter on site and you'll also find a Mills firetruck, police cruiser, and giant public service trucks. If you need a little added entertainment, you'll also have the chance to dunk some Mills police officers, courtesy Casper Dunk Tank.

Admission is free, and there will be food and beverages available for purchase from food and beer trucks, as well as raffles for prizes and giveaways.

According to the release, The Town of Mills recently demolished the public service building on the riverfront across from the Town Hall and they're planning on redeveloping the area into a community gathering space. Also in the works, a new entrance statue, a giant steel eagle, will soon be installed at the corner of 1st Street and Wyoming Blvd.
