CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Former Gov. Dave Freudenthal  will chair a task force appointed by Gov. Matt Mead to help plan a new engineering college building at the University of Wyoming.

Freudenthal is a distinguished visiting professor in the UW College of Law.

The task force also includes industry representatives, many of whom graduated from UW.

More task force members may be added.

Earlier this year, the Wyoming Legislature appropriated $1.15 million to plan for the renovation and expansion of the College of Engineering and Applied Science facilities. Lawmakers also set aside $30 million, to be matched by $30 million in private donations, as the first step toward funding the project.

The project is expected to cost up to $100 million.
