CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Mark Gordon will be sworn in as Wyoming treasurer in a ceremony Thursday at the state Capitol in Cheyenne.

Gov. Matt Mead selected Gordon last week from among three finalists presented to him by the Wyoming Republican Party. Gordon succeeds former Treasurer Joe Meyer, who died in early October.

The 55-year-old Gordon is a rancher from the town of Buffalo. He recently resigned from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where he served as a non-banking board member.

Wyoming Supreme Court Justice William Hill will preside at Gordon's swearing-in ceremony.
