A Casper man arrested for illegally having a gun and other charges is having his case moved to district court.

A judge ruled there is probable cause to bound over 28 year-old Marco Buckley for trial.

He faces a charge for being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of violation of a protection order.

Casper police say in late January, officers responded to the home of Kenneth Toles, who said he had a protection order against Buckley.

Toles claimed Buckley could be seen nearby.

Buckley told investigators he was looking for his friend and found her at Toles’ residence, and said he knew of the stalking order against him, but did not think he was violating it, since he stayed on the street and never went onto the property.

Buckley was arrested and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

When police inventoried the contents of Buckley’s vehicle they discovered a handgun.

Buckley has several prior felony convictions including aggravated robbery.
