Man Shot In Cheyenne Home Burglary

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Laramie County sheriff’s officials say a burglar shot a Cheyenne man at his home.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Sheriff’s officials say the homeowner reported that he came home and found his front door open.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/uE44Ci ) the man was shot in the leg while confronting two burglars.

Sheriff’s officials didn’t release the man’s identity. They say they found a gun and several bullet casings at the scene.

They are looking for a purple Ford Explorer and several people to interview.
