CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Northern Arapahoe man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for a June slaying on the Wind River Reservation.

Dean Moss also was sentenced in federal court to five years' probation after incarceration in the stabbing death of 28-year-old Dwight Spoonhunter.

Spoonhunter was an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.

U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts made the sentencing announcement on Friday.
