CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The former treasurer of a Cheyenne Cub Scout group has pleaded guilty to stealing $5,400 from the pack.

43-year-old Shane Moore pleaded no contest in Laramie County District Court to a single count of felony theft. He is accused of making $9,000 in unauthorized transfers from the Cub Scout pack's bank account between 2010 and 2014.

Moore was responsible for collecting dues and activity fees, as well as money raised during the group's annual popcorn sale fundraiser.

According to a plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend Moore be sentenced to first-offender probation.
