A Wheatland man charged with killing his three sons and his brother this summer faces a hearing Monday at which a judge could decide whether he should stand trial.

Police arrested 36-year-old, Everett Conant III, in July and charged him with four counts of murder.

Conant is accused of shooting and killing his sons — ages 11, 13 and 18, and his 33-year-old brother.

He's also charged with attempted murder in the wounding of his wife.

Court proceedings against Conant have been on hold since this summer, while's he's undergone a mental evaluation at the state hospital in Evanston.

Circuit Judge Randal R. Arp is scheduled to hold a preliminary hearing in Wheatland, to determine whether Conant should face charges in district court.
