CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A judge has denied a Cheyenne man's request to dismiss a lawsuit the Wyoming Lottery Corporation is pressing against him.

The lawsuit contends Edward Atchison tried to sabotage the lottery's relationship with national lottery groups.

District Judge Thomas Campbell of Cheyenne last week declined Atchison's request to dismiss the lawsuit.

Atchison has written to national groups and newspapers around the state saying the lottery needs to do more to address problem gambling. The state-created lottery sued Atchison this spring seeking a court order directing him not to interfere with its business relationships with national lottery groups.

Campbell says the lottery must provide more detail on its claims.

Lawyer Tim Kingston represents Atchison. Kingston says he sees constitutional issues with a government entity suing a citizen for voicing his opinion.
