Longtime Casper Firefighter, Capt. Jeff Atkinson, Passes Away

Casper-Natrona County firefighter Captain Jeff Atkinson has lost a long battle with cancer.

Atkinson was diagnosed back in 2012, and at the time, the cancer he had was considered treatable. The Department held fundraisers all over the city to help.

But, this morning in hospice, Atkinson died surrounded by family.

Funeral arrangements will be announced.
