CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Liz Cheney and her husband have just closed on a two-story log home in Jackson Hole, a purchase likely to fuel speculation that the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney might have political aspirations in her family's home state of Wyoming.

Public records filed Wednesday reveal the home purchase in Wilson, a posh enclave a few miles west of Jackson. The home was listed for $1.9 million.
Liz Cheney lives in Virginia but lately has been appearing at Republican events around Wyoming. Among them was Dick Cheney's first speaking engagement since he had a heart transplant.

The Wyoming Republican Party chairwoman says Liz Cheney is raising money for Republicans and any talk about her political plans is pure speculation.
