A new financial scam is working its way into Wyoming.

It's an old trick with a new twist.

Casper Police say Federal Authorities are warning of a new scam circulating by email, phone and regular mail that ends up being an offer that's too good to be true.

People contacted are being told that the United Nations, Nigerian Government, Western Union and World Bank are working with the federal government to return money scammed or stolen from U.S. citizens.

The individuals are then asked to contact an agent who collects personal and financial information in order to assist in receiving the money.

Police say this is a scam designed to separate honest people from their hard earned money.

If you have received this scam, or think you've been victimized, please contact police or the sheriff's office.
