Law Enforcement Investigating On-Line Alcohol Sales

The Natrona County Sheriff's Office is alerting the public about some illegal sales that are taking place on the internet.

A number of reports have been received about some people trying to sell alcohol on-line through social media sites such as Facebook and Craigslist.

Such transactions are illegal.

Any person who sells any alcoholic liquor or malt beverage without holding a license or permit authorizing the sale, is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, one year of imprisonment, or both.

The Sheriff's Office is asking that individuals conducting such type of sales, to stop immediately.
