Laurie Kelly Charged With Aggravated Assault and Battery

A Casper woman is accused of stabbing her husband.

Laurie Kelly faces one charge of aggravated assault and battery.

Casper police were called to the two-hundred block of Indian Paintbrush Saturday night July 14th, to investigate a disturbance between Laurie Kelly and her husband.

The two had been arguing over her husband's drinking habits, and Laurie claimed she was trying to get her husband to go to bed.

Family members told police that Laurie got a kitchen knife and held it towards her husband.

Laurie told police she did not stab her husband, claiming he walked into the knife.
