CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Laramie man faces a federal charge alleging that he provided heroin that led to another man's fatal overdose this spring.

A criminal complaint unsealed this week alleges 24-year-old Kyle Josef Adams provided heroin that resulted in the April 10 death of 25-year-old Kaleb Paul Skog in Laramie.

According to an investigator's statement, an autopsy determined Skog died from heroin intoxication. Adams told investigators he bought the heroin in Denver the day before Skog died.

Adams faces a preliminary hearing before a federal magistrate on Thursday in Cheyenne.

Commander Mitchell Cushman with the Laramie Police Department says he can't comment on Adams case.

Cushman says he doesn't believe Laramie has enough experience with heroin cases to say that they've seen any overall increase.
