The Casper College women's basketball team will be headed to the national junior college tournament for the first time in 7 years as they beat Western Nebraska in the title game of the Region IX Tournament 85-75 on Saturday afternoon at the Erickson Gym. The Birds were a remarkable 32-40 from the free throw line and were led in scoring by Lucie Hoskova with 24 and Bruna Vila Artigues added 20. Casper College withstood a barrage from Western Nebraska's Karli Seay who had 30 points. The T-Birds are 31-2 on the year and ranked 13th in the country. The women's national tournament will start March 19th in Lubbock, Texas.
