A 34 year old La Barge man was killed early Saturday in a single vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 189 south of La Barge.

Wyoming Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Steve Townsend says Joseph Sadler was southbound in his 2004 Dodge Durango when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve.Townsend says the tires on the vehicles passenger side went off the right side roadway, at which time Sadler over-corrected to the left. The vehicle then went into a broadside slide counter clockwise, crossing both lanes of the roadway before going off the left side.

Townsend says once the vehicle left the highway it rolled 3 1/4 times, going through the right of way fence and coming to rest in a field. Sadler, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. Townsend says the crash is believed to have occurred between 2:30 am and 4;30 am Saturday, but was not discovered  until a passerby saw the wreckage at around 6:20 am.

Sadler was declared dead at the scene. Townsend says alcohol and excessive speed are being investigated as possible factors in the crash.
