Keep Casper Beautiful Looking For Cleanup Help

Keep Casper Beautiful is looking for help cleaning up litter in some of the dirtiest areas of Casper.

Group spokesperson Beth Andress said the troubled areas of town are primarily along East Second Street and near Wyoming Boulevard. She also said other problem spots exist along CY Avenue and 21st Street.

“We do a litter index every year that, sort of, helps us direct volunteers to areas of town – we’ve had 17 organizations do 39 cleanups this year,” Andress said. “So, what we’d like to do is get more of those street-side areas cleaned up.”

Keep Casper Beautiful will also provide the materials needed for the cleanup operation.

“If you’re interested in organizing, you would take the day and either your church group, business group, or your service group would go out and clean whenever you’d like,” Andress said. “We provide all of the tools – garbage bags, gloves (and) safety vests.”

Andress said the six problem areas are…

• Near the Walmart at Wyoming Boulevard.
• Along Blackmore Road near Second Street.
• Along Second Street east from Landmark Drive.
• On 21st Street east of Beverly Street.
• Along CY Avenue near Morad Park.
• Along Paradise Drive by Wyoming Boulevard.
