CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Business Council will provide up to $5.7 million in loans to sugarbeet farmers in the Bighorn Basin whose crops were hit hard by rain and cold weather. The council's Board of Directors voted unanimously Thursday for the loans to support the 60 families with ownership stake in Wyoming Sugar.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Plans to drill subsurface oil and gas wells under a Cheyenne neighborhood have stalled. Oklahoma-based Ward Petroleum has withdrawn its applications seeking approval for horizontal drilling on the city's eastern boundary.
