SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (AP) - SOUTH KOREA'S MILITARY SAYS IT'S ANALYZING WITH THE UNITED STATES WHETHER NORTH KOREA REALLY HAS TEST-FIRED AN INTERCONTINENTAL BALLISTIC MISSILE. THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AT SOUTH KOREA'S JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF SAYS SOUTH KOREAN AND U.S. INTELLIGENCE AUTHORITIES ARE DETERMINING WHETHER A MISSILE LAUNCHED TUESDAY HAS ICBM CAPABILITY, AS NORTH KOREA CLAIMS.

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (AP) - IF NORTH KOREA'S CLAIM OF ITS FIRST ICBM TEST-LAUNCH IS TRUE, IT HAS BARRELED OVER A RED LINE THAT THE WORLD HAS LONG CALLED A TRIPWIRE FOR POTENTIAL NUCLEAR DISASTER. AS ALWAYS WITH NORTH KOREA, HOWEVER, THE GULF BETWEEN REALITY AND WHAT THE COUNTRY SAYS COULD BE WIDE.

WASHINGTON (AP) - PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IS RESPONDING TO THE NEWS OF NORTH KOREA'S LATEST MISSILE TEST BY EXHORTING CHINA TO "PUT A HEAVY MOVE" ON PYONGYANG AND "END THIS NONSENSE ONCE AND FOR ALL." TRUMP'S MESSAGE CAME LATE LAST NIGHT IN A POST ON HIS TWITTER ACCOUNT AFTER NORTH KOREA LAUNCHED A MISSILE TOWARD JAPAN. TRUMP CRITICIZED NORTH KOREAN LEADER KIM JONG UN, ASKING, "DOES THIS GUY HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO WITH HIS LIFE?"

WASHINGTON (AP) - THE PENTAGON HAS TIGHTENED SECURITY ON THE RESULTS OF INSPECTIONS OF ITS NUCLEAR WEAPONS OPERATIONS. IT'S A PART OF THE MILITARY WITH A HISTORY OF PERIODIC INSPECTION FAILURES AND BOUTS OF LOW MORALE. OVERALL RESULTS OF ROUTINE INSPECTIONS HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PUBLICLY AVAILABLE BUT ARE NOW OFF-LIMITS. THE STATED REASON FOR THE CHANGE IS TO PREVENT ADVERSARIES FROM LEARNING TOO MUCH ABOUT U.S. NUCLEAR WEAPONS VULNERABILITIES.

CASPER, WYO. (AP) - WYOMING SECRETARY OF STATE ED MURRAY SAYS HIS OFFICE WON'T TURN OVER PUBLIC VOTER DATA TO A FEDERAL COMMISSION INVESTIGATING THE INTEGRITY OF ELECTIONS.

MURRAY SAYS THE REQUEST BY PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP'S COMMISSION INVESTIGATING ALLEGED VOTER FRAUD IN THE 2016 ELECTIONS IS "NOT SITTING WELL WITH ME," SAYING HE'S CONCERNED IT RISKS THE PRIVACY OF WYOMING VOTERS.

THE COMMISSION LAST WEEK ASKED STATES FOR A LIST OF THE NAMES, PARTY AFFILIATIONS, ADDRESSES AND VOTING HISTORIES OF ALL VOTERS, IF STATE LAW ALLOWS IT TO BE PUBLIC. COMMISSIONERS ALSO WANT DATES OF BIRTH, THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF VOTERS' SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS AND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT FELONY CONVICTIONS AND MILITARY STATUS.

TRUMP LOST THE POPULAR VOTE TO DEMOCRAT HILLARY CLINTON BUT HAS SAID, WITHOUT EVIDENCE, THAT 3 TO 5 MILLION PEOPLE VOTED ILLEGALLY.
