THOSE WHO LIVE OR TRAVEL TO CASPER FOR THE TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN AND THE EVENTS LEADING TO AUG. 21 WILL WATCH IT ON A STAGE COVERED BY NATIONAL IF NOT INTERNATIONAL MEDIA.

WYOMING ECLIPSE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR ANNA WILCOX SAID THURSDAY SHE HAS BEEN WORKING WITH TIME MAGAZINE, IMAX, NASA, NBC'S "THE TODAY SHOW," AND MEDIA FROM NEIGHBORING STATES AS THEY SEEK ACCOMODATIONS, THE BEST PLACES FOR THEIR SATELLITE TRUCKS, AND THE LOCAL FOLKS AND THOSE WHO WILL TRAVEL HUNDREDS OF MILES FOR THE EVENT.

WILCOX SAID MOST MEDIA AREN'T INTERESTED IN THE 2 MINUTES 26 SECONDS OF TOTAL DARKNESS ITSELF AS MUCH AS THEY ARE INTERESTED WATCHING THOSE WHO ARE WATCHING IT.

UNLIKE MEDIA COVERAGE OF PROFESSIONAL ECLIPSE-CHASERS WHO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND TRAVEL HALF-WAY AROUND THE WORLD, CASPER HAS WHAT THEY CALL A HIGHLY ACCESSIBLE ECLIPSE.
MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES TELL HER THEY ARE LOOKING FOR THE REACTIONS FROM THE FIRST-TIMERS, THE PEOPLE WHO DROVE 12 HOURS FOR A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME EXPERIENCE, OR THOSE WHO BROUGHT THEIR FAMILIES KNOWING THAT THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO VIEW IT TOGETHER.
