A judge granted a protection order against a Casper man in Circuit Court Thursday. Thursday hearing for stalking:

Devere Jones, 27, made an appearance before Circuit Court Judge Steven Brown, who heard a petition from Austin Draper asking for a no-stalking order for Jones.

Judge Brown granted the petition, and now Jones is ordered to have no contact with Draper or any member of Draper's family. Jones is also ordered not to go near the family home, Kingdom Hall Church or the Loaf and Jug on Center Street.

According to court documents, Jones is said to have made threats against Draper and his family on May 22.

Jones is still in custody at the Natrona County Detention Center from a May 27th incident. He appeared in Circuit Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to charges of larceny and property damage.

Police affidavit reports that Jones was found attempting to start a man's pickup and when confronted, Jones allegedly used a golf club to pummel the pickup.

At Tuesday's initial appearance, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Stensaas described Jones' recent behavior as bizarre and asked for a bond of 2,500 cash or surety, which Judge Brown set.
