A Casper woman has been sentenced for endangering her child.

Jennifer Cromwell was given a four-to-five year suspended prison sentence, with three years of probation, after pleading guilty to one charge of child endangerment.

Police say in December, an officer found a five-year old child outside, screaming for help.

The child led the officer to the place he was staying at, on East Second Street.

After talking to the caretaker, police learned that Cromwell had dropped the child off, to be looked after, but later officers found meth paraphernalia and residue at the residence.

This is Cromwell's second child endangerment conviction.

As part of a plea agreement, she will remain in jail, until she is accepted into an inpatient substance abuse treatment program.
