The 16th annual Bowl for Jason's Friends fundraiser is currently seeking more bowling teams for the event on March first.

The Jason's Friends Foundation is a Wyoming-based charity that helps families of Children with Cancer, to cover the costs that life can sometimes throw at you when traveling to and from Cancer Treatment facilities out of state.

"Wyoming is a state that has no primary cancer treatment centers for children," says Jason's Friends founder, Lisa Eades.  "When a child in our state is diagnosed with cancer they leave Wyoming very quickly.  They go to Denver, they go to Salt Lake, sometimes much father.  What Jason's Friends does is that we jump in and cover expenses for them."

The Bowl For Jason's Friends event, in Casper, is the charity's lone fundraiser and still has spots open for bowlers to help generate money towards the foundation's mission.

"What we ask people to do, is to appoint a team captain, and put together a team of five bowlers," says Eades.  Explaining that team packets are available at First Interstate Bank, Hilltop Bank, El-Marko Lanes, or the Jason's Friends' office.  "Distribute the donation envelopes to everyone on the team.  Then you collect donations."

The actual bowling comes in on Saturday March 1st where teams will bowl for about an hour at a pre-arranged time. Pizza and soda will be provided for bowlers by event sponsors and anyone raising over $75 gets a free t-shirt.
