A Casper man is behind bars after police say he tried to get drugs from the Mountain View Regional Hospital.

Thirty-seven year old James Underwood has been charged with three counts of theft of services and three counts of prescription fraud.

Investigators say he lied about his identity in order to get prescription medication.

According to Casper police, on Monday March 20th, Underwood went to the hospital in an effort to acquire pain medication, and provided a false name.

One of the doctors recognized him from another encounter at a hospital in Worland.

Underwood told officers that he had been doing this for two years.

He is being held on five-thousand dollars bond and could face up to ten years in prison, if convicted.
