An Evansville man has admitted to having child erotic images on his computer.

James Scalia has pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography.

In October, a sex offender counselor contacted law enforcement, when Scalia admitted to relapsing and asked to come back to the group.

Scalia admitted that he had looked at child pornography on his computer.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the computer and found a total of 750 child erotic images.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek a two-and-one-half to five-year prison sentence, followed by a three-and-one-half to six-and-one half year suspended prison sentence, with 10 years of probation.

Scalia is a registered sex offender and was convicted of third degree sexual assult in 1995, and of second degree sexual assault in 2003.

He is being held on $10,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.
