A Casper man is in jail after police say he stabbed another person.

Thirty-three year old Ira Goff, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of interfering with a peace officer, after being involved in a fight outside of a bar.

One witness told police that on Sunday afternoon May 20th, Goff was in a scuffle with another person.

A third person separated the two, but then when Goff started taunting him, he went after Goff and got stabbed in the process.

When police arrived they found Goff trying to leave the scene by climbing over a fence.

When officers tried to pull him down, Goff tried to kick the officers away, and was captured a short time later.

He is being held on seventy-five thousand dollars bond, awaiting a preliminary hearing.
