The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper will be open only in the afternoon Wednesday. Leslie Collins, public affairs specialist for the Bureau of Land Management, says the interpretive center will be closed for in-service staff training until 1 in the afternoon, at which time it will open to the public.

Staff training shortens day:

"We're having a big staff meeting over at our office and the associate state director will be here; since it's over here they have to leave the building, come into the Casper Field Office for an all-employee meeting and training."

Ms. Collins says after Wednesday's training, the interpretive center will resume its normal winter hours, which are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm.  She also encouraged people to see quilting exhibit at the interpretive center.
