An inmate fled the courtroom in Green River Monday but was seen running away by two police detectives and quickly captured. Attempt to escape justice on foot:

According to a release by the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office, Jothan Wilson, 18, of Lyman, was at his initial appearance in Circuit Court when he bolted out of the courtroom at half-past noon.

Green River Police detectives Bob Ross and Fred Moczulski (mo shul'ski) saw a man dressed in jailhouse orange running from the courthouse and ran after him.  Wilson was captured after short foot chase.

The Sweetwater Sheriff's Office has opened an investigation into the escape. Wilson was arrested Friday and charged with multiple counts of burglary and larceny. He remains in custody at the Sweetwater County Detention Center on 150,000 dollar cash bond.

Sweetwater Sheriff Rich Haskell said escape charges for Wilson are pending.
