If you are ready for ski and snowboard season but realize that mother nature has not laid down enough of the white stuff to get you going just yet, Mountain Sports of Casper and Teton Gravity Research are here to help scratch that itch. Mountain Sports is bringing 2 of the seasons best winter sports films to Casper to awe and inspire.

On Saturday December 6th at the Iris 8 Theatres in downtown Casper, 2 of Teton Gravity Research's best winter films will be shown, and both of them feature incredible footage from the Teton Range. Almost Ablaze and the 3rd of the Jeremy Jones trilogy Higher will make it to the big screen on that Saturday night.

Almost Ablaze highlights stunning locations, next-level riding, and the globetrotting lifestyle of these thrill-seeking athletes. The film travels from the Teton Range hitting 5,000-foot dream lines all on foot to the war-torn Winter Olympic venues of Sarajevo. From the terrain of Sella Nevea, Italy during a record winter to Revelstoke producing some of the most diverse riding in the world.

Higher will trace Jones’ snowboarding journey from hiking Cape Cod’s Jailhouse Hill as a child to accumulating several generations’ worth of wisdom and expertise about thriving and surviving in the winter wilderness and presents a film that leaves tracks on signature lines in the close-to-home playgrounds he’s made his own around Jackson Hole. He also makes history with far-flung first descents in the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalayas of Nepal, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.

Both films will be shown on the night of the 6th with Higher and Almost Ablaze showing at 7 PM and Almost Ablaze showing again at 9:45 PM. There will be door prizes and drawings, beer and wine for the adults and of course concessions for everyone.

You can pick up tickets in advance at Mountain Sports at the corner of Center and 6th.
