School begins Tuesday for Natrona County School District students.

Dean Broughton, the district’s student support services director, says if a student still requires immunizations after the start of class Tuesday, the district must have immunization proof on file by September 20.

Broughton says there will be no exceptions in his school district to the state’s immunization law.

“Each school must exclude the child until the immunization is received,” Broughton said. “I want parents to understand this is state law, this is not at the discretion of a school principal, it’s not at my discretion – we’re just following state statute.”
