It is going to be a very warm 4th. of July statewide with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the mountains to the 90s in the lower elevations.  It will be hazy and there will be areas of smoke due to wildfires in the region.  Unfortunately moisture will still be in short supply today, with only a small chance of isolated thunderstorms in the southeast.

There looks to be some good news on the horizon as far as precipitation is concerned.  On Thursday and Friday moisture in the southwest will start to move further north.  This moisture combined with daytime heating will allow for better chances for developing showers and thunderstorms especially in central and eastern portions of the state.
