There will continue to be plenty of heat to go around across the Cowboy State for the next several days.  High pressure overhead will lead to highs mainly in the 80s and 90s.

Within this ridge today there is a little bit of atmospheric moisture to work with.  The state's mountains are in the best position for thunderstorms later today.  Even there, however, they will be isolated in nature.  There may also be a few rumbles of thunder and a few stray thunderstorms on the plains as well.

As we head into Wednesday and Thursday, the moisture from the west will push a little further east.  Through Thursday the state's higher elevations and mountains will be in the best position for thunderstorms, but there will also be a better chance for scattered thunderstorms in the central and eastern portions of the state too.
