Casper City Council on Tuesday gave preliminary approval to several fee hikes at Hogadon Ski Area.

The proposed increases range between four and seven percent and affect season pass and lift ticket fees.

Under the proposal, the fee for an adult single-season pass would increase $20 to $420, and the youth season pass would increase $15 to $365. Season pass fees for families and children will not change.

First-time season pass fees will also jump $10 to $185, and the pre-season pass special will increase $15 to $265.

All-day and half-day lift ticket fees will also increase $2 for adults, youths, and groups of 25 or more.

Lift ticket fees will not change for people between 65 and 69 years of age, active members of the military and seniors over the age of 70. Beginner’s area, school program and race program lift ticket fees will also not change.

According to Tuesday's city council packet, the leisure services advisory board has already given its unanimous approval to the proposed fee schedule.
