The driver that left the scene of a hit and run crash that occurred on October 09th on Interstate 25 has been located and arrested. It happened at 12:10 p.m. east of Casper. 54 year old Colorado resident Ricardo Aguilar-Colorado was hit while working underneath a stalled SUV. The hit and run vehicle and driver continued south on Interstate 25 leaving the scene without stopping to render aid to Mr. Aguilar-Colorado.

State Troopers, the Glenrock Police Department, and the Converse County Sheriff's Office were all advised to be on the lookout for an unknown suspect vehicle with front end damage. Shortly after the initial report, Wyoming Highway Patrol dispatch advised that a witness that saw the crash described the suspect vehicle as a silver Lincoln Navigator with Wyoming 13 county passenger plates.

The witness said the suspect vehicle had exited Interstate 25 at the 165 exit. At about 12:22 p.m., the Glenrock Police Department located and stopped the suspect vehicle on WY 95 between I-25 exit 165 and the town of Glenrock.

The driver of the Lincoln that had left the scene was identified as 30 year old Chaney Y. Jones of Glenrock, Wyoming. Through their investigation, troopers decided there was probable cause to arrest Mr. Jones. He was taken to the Natrona County Detention Center and has been charged with reckless driving, operating a vehicle without liability insurance, leaving the scene of an injury crash, failing to stop and give information and render aid, and failing to notify law enforcement of an injury crash.

Mr. Aguilar-Colorado was taken to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He is in stable condition at this time.
