Heavy snow could make travel difficult across southeast Wyoming Thursday night into Friday.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne says a low pressure system will bring widespread rainfall to the area as the day progresses Thursday, with rain turning over to snow Thursday night.

The Service says the area could see significant accumulating snow Thursday night into Friday which, coupled with strong winds, could make for treacherous travel, especially along Interstate 80.

Those planning to travel across southeast Wyoming Thursday and Friday are advised to keep a close eye on the weather in the coming days.
