The Wyoming Water Well Association joins the National Ground Water Association for Ground Water Awareness Week,  urging folks to help preserve and protect groundwater. Cliff Treyens is public awareness director for the NGWA and he says most people don't realize that 99 percent of the fresh water in the world comes in the form of ground water.

"All the lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, one percent. The other 99 percent is in the form of ground water. One of our first objectives is just to make the public is aware, this is an enormously important natural resource that they need to protect."
