Gregory Mayo Sentenced After Admitting To Child Sex Crimes

A Casper man will be spending time in prison after admitting he had sexual contact with a child.

Thirty-one year old Gregory Mayo was sentenced to 25-to-35 years in prison, after pleading guilty to three counts of first degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Investigators say just after the New Years’ Holiday 2013, the 7-year old victim reported that Mayo assaulted her while staying at his home.

When interviewed by police, he confessed and admitted that he had a problem and wanted to get help.

Mayo's defense attorneys mentioned that he had been a victim of a sex crime, when he was about the same age as the victim.
