A Casper man labeled as a con man by prosecutors is heading to prison.

Thirty-seven year old Gregory Jarrard was sentenced to seven-to-10 years in prison, after pleading guilty to five counts of larceny.

Prosecutors say Jarrard bilked about two dozen Wyoming customers out of about 165-thousand dollars, during the past several years for yard and construction work that was never completed, or in some cases, never started.

Jarrard's defense argued that he had undiagnosed psychological problems, and said he never set out to cheat anyone, but he got in over his head.

Jarrard pleaded guilty to check fraud in 2006.

He has paid some restitution, and a judge said he has about 50-thousand dollars more to go.
