A 50 year old Green River man died from injuries sustained in an accident on July 18th on U.S. Highway 189 about 9 miles south of Big Piney in Sublette County.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Ricardo Castillon was northbound on US 189 when his vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane of travel. The vehicle traveled northbound on the southbound shoulder until it clipped a delineator post with its drivers side mirror. Castillon then over corrected the vehicles steering to the right which caused the vehicle to go into a broadside slide across the southbound and northbound lanes of travel. The vehicle went into the barrow pit on the northbound side where it then rolled 1 1/2 times. During the rollover Castillon, who was not wearing a seat belt, was totally ejected from the vehicle.

Castillon was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he succumbed to his injuries on 7/25. Alcohol use is being investigated as a  contributing factor in this crash.
