Cheyenne's new Public Safety Center is on target to open this spring.

The state-of-the-art facility will house the Cheyenne Police Department, along with Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Administration and the Laramie County 911 Communications and Emergency Operations Centers.

"I think it's a great addition for downtown," said Mayor Rick Kaysen. "We are making great progress on that. If you have an opportunity to see the exterior work, you see that it's taken some great form, and we are on target for that to be completed in March of 2016."

The nearly $30 million center has been under construction along 18th Street between Pioneer and Thomes Avenues since August of 2014. To see live pictures of the progress click here.
