JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Two ski resorts in the Tetons are getting ready to open.

Grand Targhee Resort will open with two lifts on Friday. On Saturday, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will open for the season with more than 3,000 vertical feet of skiing.

The Jackson Hole Daily (http://bit.ly/vPQjx5 ) reports that it will be one of the biggest openings in Jackson Hole's history, made possible by a storm that brought more than 30 inches to the Tetons over the weekend.

The resort usually has to wait until the first or second week in December to open mid-mountain areas to skiing.
