CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Gov. Matt Mead is releasing an official state energy policy for Wyoming.

The document to be unveiled Monday has been in the works for two years. State officials say the policy will focus on four areas: Economic competitiveness, efficient regulation, natural resource conservation and developing new technologies.

Mead has said he can't keep criticizing the federal government for not having a national energy policy when Wyoming doesn't have its own energy policy.

The governor's office heard from a number of interest groups, including environmentalists, in developing the policy.
