DENVER (AP) — Six Republican Westerners in Congress are headed to the Colorado state Capitol on Thursday to review forest management and wildfire prevention.

The hearing will look at current forest management plans on federal lands. The lawmakers scheduled to attend are Rep. Steve Pearce of New Mexico and Wyoming Rep. Cynthia Lummis. All four Colorado Republicans are also scheduled to attend: Reps. Mike Coffman, Cory Gardner, Doug Lamborn and Scott Tipton.

The hearing is a congressional field hearing on forest management for informational purposes only.
