Good Samaritan Killed In Crash

Authorities say a man who stopped to offer help after a crash just outside Cheyenne was killed after his vehicle was hit as he left the scene.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that 21-yr-old  Kristopher Maeseele  died Wednesday on Wyoming Highway 212..

"There was a previous crash that involved two vehicles. Apparently Kristopher had stopped to check on injuries and when he found there were no injuries and that he was no longer needed he got back in his vehicle and attempted to make a U-turn and was struck broadside in the driver's door as he made that U-turn."

Highway Patrol Sergeant Steven Townsend says the cars involved in the preceding crash were not involved in the fatal collision.

The driver of the colliding pickup, 32 year old, Jody Mowray, of Cheyenne was treated and released from the hospital.
