A change in fishery management at Golden Eye Reservoir means no more live bait allowed and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department want to get that message out.

"We still have the Winter Ice Fishing Provisions in place there, but we want to avoid additional  non-game fish accidentally being introduced and that's why we prohibit live bait fish use at Golden Eye."

Robin Kepple at the Casper Area office says the reservoir in Natrona County has changed from being Walleye managed, to being trout managed and that's why the change.

She says dead minnows are OK and the Special Winter Ice Fishing provisions still allow the use of up to six lines.
