GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — The first-degree murder trial for a man charged in the Thanksgiving Day 2013 shooting death of another man is underway after several postponements and continuances.

The trial for 22-year-old Todd Michael Sindelar is scheduled to begin Monday.

Sindelar is accused of shooting and killing 25-year-old Matthew Boyer on Nov. 28, 2013 at Boyer's home. Boyer was shot once in the abdomen and once in the chest.

Boyer's girlfriend told investigators the men had been in a dispute about rent.

Sindelar fled Gillette after the shooting, leading police on a 200-mile chase. He was arrested in South Dakota.

The potential witness list includes friends, roommates and significant others of both Boyer and Sindelar as well as doctors and law enforcement.
