A Bar Nunn man is accused of attacking one person that he was trying to help out, and two others.

Thirty-six year old George Morgan has pleaded not guilty to three misdemeanor charges of battery, and guilty to one charge of possession of a controlled substance marijuana.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department through witnesses interviewed, say shortly before 3pm Wednesday, February 11th, Morgan entered the VFW establishment near the intersection of West First and Ash Streets in downtown Casper.

He then went left the building with the victim and attacked him.

When interviewed, Morgan said he was originally helping the victim get back on his feet, by giving him a job, a place to stay and some money.

Morgan then learned that the victim was accused of an incident in Colorado, and then got upset the victim was using the money to get drunk.

About half an hour later, Morgan went to a tattoo shop and attacked one person there, but a motive has not been determined.

He then also attacked a woman outside of the shop, who was reaching into her purse to get her phone to call police, but Morgan said he didn't recall that attack, but grabbed the woman's purse, because he thought she was reaching for a gun.

Investigators then later found marijuana inside of Morgan's vehicle.

He is awaiting trial and his bond was set at $750.

He could face up to 6 months in jail on each of the battery charges if convicted.
